Here's a start: Born: Chicago, IL 18 Aug 1944 Moved to Playa del Rey 1952 3 houses from the Coast Hiway - This was my introduction to the Pacific. My grandparents moved to La Jolla Shores in 1953, my family moved to La Mesa in '53, also. I spent my summers and weekends at The Shores, until we moved there in 1958. That's when I began to surf vertically. I think I met Garth and Eric in 1959?
