Created ReSANDiego Project which ultimately got $10,000,000. from the US Defense Dept. to spend on dredging and pumping sand onto San Diego County beaches. We're still walking on it. Started Family Connections project in north county SD high schools where kids wrote what they like about themselves and what they like about their lives and then mailed it home with an acknowledgement thanking their parents for everything they've been given...transforming lives. Hand in Hand Schools project is an educational/fundraiser coming in October to fund 6 schools in Israel that teach both Jewish and Arabic children. The classes are taught by two teachers in both languages. The opportunity is to break the historical relationship between the two groups and create peace. |
