There can only be one

Surfing in Hawai’i
Hawai’i is the heart of the surfing universe. If not its actual birthplace – Peru and Tahiti vie for that honor – surfing
grew up and first thrived in Hawai’i, flowered there for a few centuries, withered, nearly died, and was reborn to
spread throughout the world on the strength of that island heartbeat, centered on the beach at Waikiki, under the
watchful
eye of Diamond Head. Hawai’i will always hold the heart of surfing and it is the dedicated surfers of Hawai’i
who keep
this heartbeat alive. Aloha! |
