JACK MCCOY

Cinematographer and film maker Jack McCoy has been making surfing movies at a steady pace for 31 years.  Shot in 16mm, featuring dynamic water photography with many of the worlds best surfers in the ocean’s most beautiful waves, jack’s twenty four surf films have traced and captured a good chunk of the modern history of surfing.  Other great film makers have punctuated each decade of his work, but Jack has endured, with an eye for beauty, an ear for a story. fanatic dedication to film and wave quality, silky smooth editing, cool music and a surfer’s point of view.  And Jack still tours his commercial feature films to packed movie theaters worldwide, personally keeping the tradition of the surf-movie-as-a-night-out alive.
